Teaching license!

Why is it so hard to apply for one?! In my state, you must apply online. And you cannot proceed forward in your application until you meet the requirements on the page you are on. So, I have been waiting weeks for my university to send me a copy of my transcripts just so I can proceed to the next page of the application. Now I finally have my transcripts and I have scanned them in. I find out on the next page that I have to scan a copy of my test results (which my state’s Department of Ed. already have ON FILE). So I have to find and dig out a copy of my test results…fine. Next page, I need written verification from my institution…

ARE MY OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU PEOPLE?!

Is it too much to ask for a list at the beginning of the application that tells me exactly what I need to give them so I don’t have to keep waiting weeks and weeks!!!!

All the hoops I had to jump through in college and now I have to jump through a million hoops to get my license. NOT TO MENTION that I will have to pay $40 (yes, 4…0…fourty) for a copy of my PRAXIS II test results so I can apply for my Social Studies endorsement AFTER I receive my teaching license for Drama (because it’s too hard to just let me apply for BOTH at the SAME TIME).

I just want to be a teacher…is that too much to ask for??????
